Established in 1988, Chrome Hearts is a study in artistic freedom and persistence of vision. From its inception as a leather motorcycle riding-gear company, Chrome Hearts has evolved into an obsession-inspiring label and a cultural phenomenon. Taking a design cue from its beginnings, the vast line includes handmade jewelry in sterling silver, gold, platinum, & precious stones; apparel, eyewear, luggage & leather goods; and handcrafted furnishings & home items in exotic woods. While any attempts to define Chrome Hearts is met with considerable pause, it is the mercurial life experiences of the founder, Richard Stark & his wife, Laurie Lynn, that run palpably through the notable designs and motifs which include daggers, crosses, stars, spikes and fleurs. With a decidedly relentless commitment to quality, almost every product is designed,manufactured and produced in small quantities to ensure absolute attention to detail at the factory in Hollywood, California.

Chrome Hearts has garnered extensive distinction in the art, music, fashion and design worlds. Despite its subversive approach to classic fashion, Chrome Hearts has received some of the industry’s most prestigious awards – a CFDA Accessory Designer of the Year Award in 1992 and the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022. Chrome Hearts was selected for the "Rock Style" exhibit at the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, was also featured in the “The Nature of Diamonds” exhibit at The National Science Museum in Tokyo and resides in the permanent History of Menswear (“Reigning Men”) exhibition at LACMA.
