Marco Glaviano

Marco Glaviano is a renown Italian photographer living and working in Milan. He is known across the globe for his elevation of fashion photography into the ranks of fine art, having had images published in Vogue, Elle, Vanity Fair, and Harpers Bazaar among other influential publications. In his work he launched the careers of several influential supermodels such as Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, Eva Herzigova, and Paulina Porizkova. In the 1980’s, Glaviano was a pioneer of digital photography, putting the first digital image in American Vogue in 1982, however in his work he prefers to capture the true raw form of his subject without makeup and digital touch ups. He is known for his reverence of the subjects he photographs, and focuses on capturing their innate depth and true persona through the lens. Glaviano’s work has been the subject of fifteen books to date, and has been exhibited in 35 solo exhibitions around the globe.
