Healer Dub (2025) is a layered screen-printed collage on wood panel honoring Jamaican women writers and musicians whose creative practices have shaped cultural memory, resistance, and spiritual continuity. Roberson overlays archival imagery with translucent fields of blue, green, and pink, creating a rhythmic visual language that echoes dub music’s techniques of repetition, remix, and reverberation. The blue tones reference the ocean and the Blue Lagoon as sites of passage, healing, and ancestral memory— spaces where history, migration, and renewal converge. Through collage and print, the work functions as both archive and invocation, centering Black women’s intellectual, sonic, and spiritual labor as a living, generative force.
