Shediene Fletcher, born in Manchester, Jamaica, is a mixed media artist who studied at the Edna Manley college of the Visual and Performing Arts. She is recognized for her creative use of materials, including animal skin , bones and wax. Although not primarily focused on portraiture, Fletcher incorporates portraits into her works on wax and goat skin, creating a unique fusion of organic textures and human expressions. Her work bridges traditional craft and contemporary art , exploring interaction between materiality and identity. Her works have been featured in the Jamaica Biennial at the National Gallery of Jamaica, …” And I resume the struggle “  at the Olympia Gallery Jamaica and Suzie Wong presents Artsy show Emerging contemporary: Jamaica online exhibition to name a few.
