Tatjana Valsang

Tatjana Valsang, born in St. Tönis and trained at the Düsseldorf Art Academy, developed a highly precise abstract visual language that treats colour as a spatial-physical substance. Her paintings are created using a wet-on-wet technique on horizontal canvas: gravity, flowing movements, and transparent layers form organic-looking structures that balance between chance and control. The acrylic painting on display unfolds a vibrant depth of overlapping colour fields and delicate gradients.
